WELCOME TO TIGERMODELS
Welcome to Tiger models. I would like to first thank you for visiting and hope you find some useful items for your modeling needs while you are here.
My name is Jeff Bakanovic; many of you know me or have heard of me already. I have been working as the resin castor for the company since 2003. Now I am buying the company since Joe has decided to move on from the production of resin and follow other interests in his life. He is going back to being just a modeler / pattern maker and aids me in managing the pattern makers that he has become friends with over the years. Otherwise, the daily operations and decisions of the company will be under my control.
HISTORY
Tigermodels was formerly Tiger Model Design's, Inc. which was started by Joe Bakanovic in 2001 and closed in 2010. Tiger Model Design's became known for 1/35 scale, WW II armor products.
I started working with the company back in 2003 after separating from the U.S. Army. I have seen the many changes and growth of this company through the years.
VISION
My Vision for Tigermodels and its future is simple. I want to continue to provide quality resin products to you the modeler. To continue to offer the old product line from Tiger Model Design's while working with the pattern makers from Tiger Model Design's to grow the product line.
Tigermodels will no longer just produce 1/35 scale, WW II armor products. In the future other scales and genres will be offered. I also plan to offer other items related to modeling such as a photo-etch line from Orange Hobby.
PRODUCT PACKAGING
Labeling and packaging for all internet orders will now have a different look. All internet and trade show products sold by Tigermodels will have a simpler packaging scheme. This new packaging is our way of helping reduce the ecological strain on the environment. This decision is also to help keep the cost of the products down.
In addition, all major kits or products that require a detailed instruction sheet will have that instruction sheet on a CD in pdf file format that can be read by Adobe Acrobat Reader. This will allow for a more in depth and detailed instruction sheet that can be viewed in color while reducing the need for paper. This will also reduce the weight of the product and help keep the cost of shipping down to a minimum.
As you may have already noticed, the product numbering system looks different. This is the only time I plan to make changes to the numbering system. In the future when a new item comes out it will be assigned the next number in its perspective category regardless of the scale, nationality or type of vehicle.
